Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Can I submit waivers online ?
A. We do not currently have an electronic waiver option though it is something we are looking in to. Waivers must be printed and signed by the parents of each participant and presented upon arrival. Alternatively for anyone without a printer, we have printed copies here that can be completed upon arrival.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Participants should wear comfortable loose fitting sportswear such as jogging bottoms / shorts, t-shirt and trainers. For safety reasons tights or similar must not be worn on the sprung floor unless paired with grip socks. Likewise on the black matted floor, unstable footwear with poor grip such as crocks, flip-flops or wellington boots etc should not be worn.
Q. Is food included / can I bring my own food?
A. Pizza hut pizza and Sanpellegrino lemonade is available from ~£6.50 per head. Alternatively select our ‘party room’ option if you’d prefer to bring your own food.
Q. Will I be able to do anything I like?
A. To keep everyone safe and to ensure you get the most from your visit, our parties follow a structured format where you will be taken through a proper warm up and then given instruction on at least three different activities which typically includes jumps, vaults and flips.
Q. Is there any paperwork to complete prior to my arrival?
A. Yes, we have a participation agreement / medical form / waiver which must be signed by the parents of each participant aged 18yrs or under before they will be able to take part. Forms can be downloaded and printed here.
Q. Is there a safety briefing video which we will need to allow time to watch before the start of my booking?
A. No, we prefer a more personal approach with supervision and instruction given by our coaches throughout the duration of your booking. Please do however arrive up to 10 minutes before your start time so we can get you signed in.
Q. Can parents stay and watch?
A. We have a small viewing area with a live video feed on a large screen where you will be able to watch all the action as a spectator. For safety reasons, spectators will not be allowed into the obstacle arena or sprung floor areas.
Q. This will be my first time at Street Motion, what can I expect?
A. Street motion parties begin with a structured warm up which will prepare everyone for the obstacle activities to follow. This will typically be a mixture of games and exercises of increasing intensity. After warming up, there will be 3 activities utilising various obstacles and skills for participants to attempt. Depending on the size of your booking you may be split into smaller groups at this point to enable everyone to get more turns within the allocated time. If you have booked add-ons such as the air pad, this will follow next and the party will wrap up with a gentle cool-down before finishing.
Q. Is there parking available on site?
A. Yes we have a large car park with plenty of free parking after 5.30pm on weekday evenings and during the day on weekends. Additional free parking can be found on the roadside or at nearby supermarkets and retail parks.
Q. Are you able to accommodate participants with ADHD & Autism?
A. Parkour tends to be popular with this demographic and makes up a significant percentage of our regular attendees. Participants must be able to listen to and follow the safety instructions provided by the coaches at all times. Please consider that our parties are a group activity that can be quite busy and loud. NERF parties also make use of coloured lighting effects which some may find overstimulating. You are welcome to visit us prior to attending or hosting a party to view the space or try a coached session. We are also able to offer 1:1 tuition outside of a party setting if desired.
Q. Do I need to buy grip socks?
A. Grip socks must be worn on the sprung floor by any participant who is unable or unwilling to train barefoot. Grip socks can be added to your order or purchased on the day if required. All activities on the sprung floor take place barefoot. Shoes are not permitted as these can damage the floor surface and normal socks must not be worn as these present a slip hazard.
