“DULOE children tried their hand at dozens of outdoor activities put on by students from the University of Plymouth.
The RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy for Art and Youth Sport) project, which aims to inspire young people ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games, worked with 48 students and local organisations to host the second “Get Active @ Duloe” event following last year’s success.
Young people and their families were invited to Duloe School and Duloe recreation ground to try new activities and think about how they can use their local outdoor environment to become more active.
More than 200 people took part in sessions including archery, American football, athletics, free running with Street Motion, DJ workshops, arts and crafts, cheerleading, fitness sessions, lacrosse, archery, jewellery-making and Frisbee golf, as well as workshops from the National Trust, National Marine Aquarium and PUPA.”
