Dear members,

  • Whilst the government remains indecisive, we are open for business and will remain so up to and including Saturday 28th March 2020.
  • We will be closed from Sun 29th March – Mon 13th Apr for our annual scheduled Easter Holiday break as planned before the world went mad.
  • Please help us to maintain a clean and safe environment by using our new outdoor sensor-tap hand wash station before entering the building and maintaining good hygiene during your stay. Only attend if you are healthy and without symptoms!
  • Regular sanitising of identified key contact areas will continue and lesson content will be varied slightly to minimise contact and encourage greater physical separation between participants.
  • We will continue to produce on-line tutorials which will enable members who are unable to visit the academy to practice their skills and maintain their fitness at home.
  • On the assumption that nearly all schools will be closed from today until October, we would welcome feedback from our working parents who would benefit from half or full day activities Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm to enable you to carry on working. If the demand is there and we are able to go ahead with this, it is likely that spaces will be extremely limited to enable increased separation distances between those who attend.
  • It is looking highly unlikely right now that we will be able to run our Easter Gathering event this year in the format that was originally planned. We are however looking into an outdoor alternative which might take place on a beach and include a BBQ if the weather is good.
  • On Sunday 12th April we will review the developing situation and communicate with you our new plan for the weeks and months that follow based upon the most up to date guidance.
  • Thanks to all of you for your continued support. Even if you are unable to attend for a short period, your memberships are helping to ensure that we can continue to pay the rent on the building so that we can be ready to welcome you back when everything returns to normality.
